Ananya Dev

Ananya is a rising freshman at the University of Washington - Seattle. She has been an art teacher since August 2019 and a teaching assistant since 2017 at Hongyun Art School in Cupertino, CA. Ananya has been studying traditional art for 12 years. She strongly believes that combining academic and therapeutic aspects of art can aid children and teenagers with learning and mental disabilities with self-expression, increase social confidence and strengthen communication of emotions and thoughts.

As a neurodivergent person herself, Ananya has firsthand experienced the positive effects of producing art with sensory elements and surrounding herself with a creative, supportive community.

Annabelle Chow

  INITIATIVE LEAD, CO-DIRECTOR

Annabelle is a rising freshman at Carnegie Mellon University. She has been volunteering as teaching assistant since 2018 and has been in Hongyun Art since 2017. Annabelle hopes to bring her business background to uplift this program. She hopes to curate a place for these young children to grow in both their passions and personality. In addition, she can create a safe place for these children to speak out and feel heard. Through this program, she hopes to inspire and demonstrate to others that disabilities are not a hindrance.
